Meet the Coaches

My coaching intentions are to help support white people in deepening their understanding of their own stake in dismantling white supremacy and creating racially just communities.

Through my coaching we will work together to:
  • Transform racial fear, fragility, and resistance into a deep curiosity, and move from silence, blame, and shame to an embodied, self-accountable, and generative anti-racist praxis.
  • Develop new lenses and frames on how to center racial equity and build new practices that can take root in your workplace and everyday life that will create more racially just outcomes. This includes normalizing conversations that explicitly acknowledge and address racial inequities and developing anti-racist tools specific to your identity, role, and workstyle that can start to operationalize racial equity.
  • Develop your emotional resilience through mindfulness and somatic practices to engage in race conversations without shutting down or spiraling into reactivity. This includes making room for fear and vulnerability around questions of race. We will also develop tools on how to respond and repair when you have caused racial harm.
  • Explore feelings of grief and separation, whether it is related to a racial harm committed or to the way we have been socialized and shaped. This may include exploring and investigating our family histories, even when they might be painful, as a way of placing ourselves in a larger story of our socialization process.
  • As a white person myself, surfacing, where helpful, my own experiences, lessons, and struggles in developing an antiracist white identity, as well as those of people on the journey whom I have coached. Helping you see and feel that you are not alone in these struggles and opportunities.

My intention is to provide custom support for individuals who want to integrate an understanding of systemic oppression into both their personal and professional lives. My work is grounded in the understanding that we each have individual work to do alongside our collective commitment to racial justice and liberation. Which is to say, what one person does matters because we both inform and are informed by the society in which we live. I predominantly support other white people in this work, regardless of gender, disability, age, or sexual orientation.

As a coach I offer:
  • A collaborative approach to accountability rooted in compassion
  • Practices for sitting with the discomfort of being complicit in oppressive systems founded on white supremacy
  • Practices for seeing the complexity of systems of supremacy & how they uphold each other
  • Guidance on how to notice prejudiced implicit biases & how to disrupt them
  • Guidance on how to educate yourself and integrate what you learn into all aspects of your life
  • Guidance on how to be an accomplice in the liberation of Black, Indigenous, Asian, disabled, & QILT2BAG+ people
