A co-facilitated workshop, Rooting in & Raising Up serves as an invitation for participants to embrace the truth of our mutual liberation by developing their own capacities to have more meaningful and truthful conversations about race and racism first with themselves- and from there, with the children and young people in their lives.
The workshop for anyone who is playing a role in raising and developing children. Particularly for school settings, Rooting in & Raising Up is a wonderful conversation to hold within various groups (parent associations, faculty/staff, and identity-centered affinity groups).
Using storytelling, prompts, and embodiment practices, the workshop empowers participants to step into the everyday conversations that can serve truly serve all of us in the work of justice.
